2007-09 bear market now totally erased

According to a recent article at MarketWatch.com (online publication of the Wall Street Journal), the steep drop in the U.S. stock market caused by the 2008 U.S. financial crisis has been totally erased. According to the article, all of the past losses have been erased by steeply rising stock markets over the past three years.

Well known analyst, Mark Hulbert made the call in early April 2012 indicating that the “The dividend-adjusted version of the Wilshire 5000 index is now higher than it was at the bull market high on Oct. 9, 2007.” He comments; “….remarkably little time to completely recover from what some investors have referred to as one of the worst bear markets of all time.”
